The Murray River is in Flood
Find out what is happening here.

Should I cancel my Holiday to the Riverland?

Honestly, you don’t have to cancel your holiday because the River is flooding. There may be parts of your holiday you will need to modify, but if anything, a flooded river is something to be seen!

For example, The Loxton Caravan park has two levels, the lower level is now under water (as of October 22), but the upper level is just fine. Loxton also has a secondary park in town for such occasions. I am sure other towns have similar contingency plans in place. Also, most Riverland towns are set back and above normal flood levels. So, at least in the short term, things are okay.
